I'm Simon, owner and photographer at Fenland Photographic, a model photography service across East Anglia, The East Midlands, and sometimes further afield.
Based in South Lincolnshire I am ideally placed for some great locations in the immediate area, and within travelling distance of the coastal resorts of Norfolk, Suffolk and Lincolnshire. Locally I am fortunate enough to have parks and open green spaces, woods, river side settings, rural roads and country lanes, as well as the urban sprawl of Peterborough City Centre. Further out there's the college backs at Cambridge, the Norfolk Broads, seaside resorts and more. I regularly travel to Great Yarmouth working with my regular model so am often available in this area for shoots.
As well as some great locations, I am also competent working in a studio and happy to hire one of the many studio facilities available to suit a particular theme and dependent on the model's location. I also have a mobile studio with flash heads, light modifiers, wireless triggers, and plain backdrops which can be used at a model's own home, hotel rooms, AirBnB, village halls and community centres, in fact anywhere with a mains power socket, giving lots of alternatives to shooting on location during the colder months, or where the shoot is not appropriate for outdoors.
My photography is a hobby not a living from which I make no money, I am therefore not in a position to pay models for photo shoots, although I do occasionally have some paid work available. Paid jobs are usually where I have an idea for a shoot which would be unrealistic to expect the model to work without pay, and I will normally contact models directly who I think may suit and be interested in the shoot. With this in mind, I mostly work on a TF basis. What this means is that no money changes hands either way, and in return for the model's time on the shoot she will receive a copy of all the images kept from the shoot. These are generally sent via dropbox within seven days of the shoot and are for non commercial use. Models may use the images on their portfolio, social media and similar, but may not use them for financial gain. I do ask that I am credited as the photographer where the images are used, and similarly with credit models where I use the images. If a model wishes to sell images please talk to me and we can come to an arrangement.
